Long Range Planning -- April 8, 2000 Report

Other Committee Members Present:  Carol Cannon, Ruth Eaken, Richard Hayes, and Kay Plew.

Summary / Recommendations:

• Establish a standing Program Committee to assist in planning the regional professional conferences.  (The purpose is to support the host chapter with a resource group so that the burden of responsibility is spread among more members and there is a repository for information gleaned from previous conferences and planning sessions.
• Suggest that besides Region II Delegates and Alternates, the newsletter be sent to all elected officers, faculty advisor, and parliamentarian within the region.  A directive should be printed on each mailing to share information with other members of their local chapter.
• E-mail 2-4 members per chapter who have the capability to communicate the information to their chapter.
• Explore the possibility of not-for-profit mailing permit.
